School Meal Services
As one of Hong Kong’s largest school meal providerss, we uphold three core principles: 「Safety」, 「Quality」, and 「Nutrition」. We are committed to delivering safe, delicious, and healthy meals to students. Committed to continuous improvement, we consistently enhance food quality and diversify menu offerings. We collaborate with schools to offer flexible meal service options, including meal box delivery, canteen services, on-site portioning, and tuck shops. Serving over 200 primary and secondary schools, we prepare more than 100,000 lunches daily, striving to offer diverse school meal services to students and teachers.
Meal Box Service
Our meal boxes use separate packaging for rice and dishes, preserving food appearance and flavor while enhancing students’ appetite. Professional nutritionist and chefs collaborate to create nutritious menus that meet the Department of Health’s “Nutritional Guidelines for school meales” featuring our “3:2:1 Nutritious Meals.” We offer up to four daily meal options, including 2 to 4 healthy meals and one vegetarian meal as per school requests, with fresh whole fruits available upon request.
Canteen Service
Our staff cook fresh vegetables and rice in the school’s kitchen and distribute meals to students, who queue to dine in the canteen.
On-site meal distribution reduces food waste and promotes sustainability. Supporting school meal operations, we cook vegetables and rice in the school canteen, while dishes are prepared at our central production facility and served on reusable, durable meal trays. Students can dine in the canteen.
Floor/Classroom Meal Service
Luncheon Star provides classroom or floor meal distribution services for schools unable to implement canteen operation due to space or facility limitations. In this model, Our staff allocate meals into insulated food containers, which are then placed into class-specific insulated boxes or trolleys and delivered to designated floors or classrooms for distribution.
“Floor portioning” sets up a central distribution point on each floor, where our staff manage meal portioning. Students collect their meals from this point and return to their classrooms to eat. “Classroom-Based Distribution” operates on a per-class basis, allowing students within each class to distribute meals among themselves. This approach enables students to select portion sizes according to their needs, minimizing food waste.
