- Food safety and hygiene compliant with international standards
Luncheon Star has produced over 200 million lunch boxes, becoming the first school meal supplier to receive multiple international food safety management system certifications, including ISO 22000, HACCP, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001. These certifications cover every stage of production, from raw material procurement and food preparation to cooking, packaging, rapid chilling, freezing, and delivery to schools.
Additionally, to ensure food safety and hygiene, we send lunch boxes daily to a third-party laboratory accredited under the Hong Kong Laboratory Accreditation Scheme (HOKLAS) for bacterial testing. To date, all results have met the standards, with no food poisoning cases ever confirmed by the Centre for Food Safety (CFS).”
- Automated Production to Ensure Hygiene
The centralized factory spans 4 floors and is equipped with modern facilities. It is the only one in Hong Kong with a fully automatic rice-cooker machine, featuring an automated production process that ensures the lunch boxes are safe and hygienic.
- Punctual and Customized Delivery Service
Luncheon Star has established 5 regional factories across Hong Kong to shorten delivery times for lunch boxes and nsure optimal quality. Additionally, we leverage the robust support of over 200 catering outlets under Café de Coral Group, enabling immediate assistance from nearby branches for unexpected incidents.
Luncheon Star also provides “one-stop” service, offering customized catering services, including school celebration, party and sports day meals, per school requirements. Beyond special discounts, we can arrange delivery of meals to designated venues.
- Highly Transparent Management and Operations
Luncheon Star is one of the few School Catering Providers offering factory visit tours during production, enabling the public to understand our production process.
Each school has a dedicated Team Leader responsible for handling daily school meal supply. In addition, a dedicated Account Manager or Officer visit schools monthly to report on meal service upodate and gather feedback. Each semester, we conduct a school-wide survey to collect feedback in a structured manner, analyzing results for schools’ reference and publishing data openly. Additionally, Management can meet regularly with school representatives to enhance communication and collaboration.
- Customer-Oriented Value-Added Services
Luncheon Star provides value-added services in collaboration with the school, such as fruit-cutting service, lunch boxes in two price tiers, regular tasting sessions with parents at school, and arranging nutritionist to conduct nutrition talks at school.
Additionally, we regularly collaborate with Café de Coral Group’s brands and various payment platforms to provide special offers to parents. Besides, we guaranteed no contract termination during the agreement period.
- Self-Developed Cloud-Based Food Ordering App
Luncheon Star has its own meal ordering application, allowing parents to order meals anytime with ease, featuring order reminders, cancellation requests, and allergen filtering. Additionally, teacher accounts allow schools to easily monitor student meal orders. The app supports multiple online payment methods, including FPS, credit cards, Alipay, and PPS, offering maximum convenience with no administrative fees for parents.
